Last week, our School Board Directors and Superintendent proudly attended the National School Boards Association (NSBA) Advocacy & Equity Conference in Washington, D.C. 📢 They engaged in crucial conversations about how federal policies impact our schools and advocated for increased support for public education. Key priorities included securing funding for IDEA, Title I, teacher education, pay, recruitment, and retention, among other essential issues. The board extends its sincere thanks to Senator John Fetterman's staff and Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon for taking the time to meet with them, listen to their concerns, and discuss requests for meaningful change. The board was honored to join representatives from across PA, including Carbondale Area, Reading, and Gateway School Districts in this important advocacy effort.
